Legal Notice and Terms of Use

1. Identifying information

In compliance with applicable information disclosure requirements, the owner of this website and the tools it contains is the project Docentia (hereinafter, “the Website”), with an address for these purposes in Valencia, Spain. Contact email: info@mimetry.com

2. Users and terms of use

Access to and/or use of this website makes you a USER, and you accept, from that access and/or use, the General Terms of Use set out here. The Website provides access to educational content on personal finance and free calculation tools (savings goal calculator, emergency fund calculator, loan payment calculator, 50/30/20 budget calculator, retirement projection calculator, and self-assessment quiz) belonging to Docentia. The USER assumes responsibility for the use of the site and its integrated tools.

3. Using the tools: no sign-up and no data storage

Docentia’s tools do not require any kind of sign-up: you don’t need to create an account, whether by email or through third-party services, to use them. Use is completely free and never requires entering any banking or payment details, as the Website has no payment gateway.

Calculations are performed entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. The figures you enter (amounts, terms, interest rates) are never sent to any server and are not stored anywhere, not even on your own device: the information disappears as soon as you close or reload the page. Docentia never has access to this data.

4. Educational purpose: this is not financial advice

All of Docentia’s content, including articles and calculator results, is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute, under any circumstances, personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, nor a recommendation to contract any specific financial product or service.

The calculators apply standard, universal financial math formulas, without taking into account the taxation, regulations, or specific conditions of any country or entity. Results are indicative estimates and may not match the actual offer of any financial institution. Any financial decision you make is your sole responsibility; we recommend you verify it with a qualified professional when relevant.

5. Monetization and advertising

Docentia is an educational project funded through advertising.

The Website may display advertising content (such as Google AdSense). Advertisers are solely responsible for ensuring that any material submitted for inclusion on the Website complies with applicable laws.

6. Intellectual and industrial property

Docentia owns all intellectual and industrial property rights to its website, as well as the elements it contains (including, but not limited to: the tools’ code, design, text, and logos). All rights reserved.

7. Disclaimer of warranties and liability

Docentia shall not be held liable, under any circumstances, for damages of any nature arising from, including but not limited to: errors or omissions in the content, unavailability of the site, calculator results that differ from actual market conditions, or the transmission of viruses or malicious programs, despite having adopted all necessary technological measures to prevent this.
